Oct 30, Marilyn Lewis rated it it was amazing. This is an exceptionally readable biography of Nathanael West, an author I've admired for many years whom, until now, I've known so little about. Woodward made West come alive -- the man, the era, his writings, his contemporaries, and the places he either lived in Hollywood, New York or visited Paris, summer camp!

I really had no idea what to expect as I didn't know anything about Nathanael West. Joe Woodward has put together an informative account of the life and times of Nathanael West. I really enjoyed the photos, it allowed me to step back in time and put faces to the names.
